Latest updates from the RPAB
On August 24th, 2024, the Board held a workshop which walked people with a Suspended license through the steps they need to follow to receive a Restricted license so they can legally drive again. Those who came, also learned how to file a Manifest Hardship Motion to get their traffic fines, court costs and reinstatement fees reduced or eliminated.
Below is a FREE PDF of these steps to download and follow. Please print as many copies as you want to give to people who need to get their driver's license reinstated.
Do you have a student or are you an employee in USD 259? Have they or you been bullied by students or other employees, with no action taken by “the District” or building Principal?
Got a student who was expelled or keeps getting suspended, with little or no verification or information as to WHY from “the District?” Has your child been sent to law enforcement, instead of their issue being handled “administratively” by USD 259?
Have we got a WORKSHOP for you!
Come to Paradise Baptist Church at 4401 E. 17th on September 28th, 2024 from 11am until 3pm to share your concerns about Wichita Public Schools lack of protection of our students, teachers and staff from being bullied. The recent Settlement Agreement between the US Department of Justice and USD259 will also be discussed. It requires the school district to stop disproportionately suspending, secluding and expelling Black and Hispanic children.
We want to hear from YOU!!
The RPAB in collaboration with Kansas Advocates for Racial Justice and Equality is hosting a “Community Education Forum” in which a Department of Justice representative will answer your questions about the Settlement Agreement. We will also be discussing the LACK OF a concrete Bullying policy for Wichita schools and actions needed to protect all USD259 students, teachers and staff.
YOUR SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME!
So, please download the flyer below and make as many copies as you like to share with family, friends and fellow USD259 employees. We look forward to seeing them and you at Paradise Baptist Church at 4401 E. 17th on September 28th, 2024 from 11am until 3pm.

The RPAB’s mission is to eliminate racial profiling in Sedgwick County and the rest of Kansas.
The police and sheriff's deputies have policies, procedures, and regulations they must follow to provide their services to us -- the Community.
If you believe your rights have been violated, if you’ve been racially profiled, illegally searched, or been a victim of an officer’s misconduct, rudeness, surveillance, etc, and you want to file a complaint, contact us.
Do you have a family member in the Sedgwick County Jail? Do they need meds, and not getting them? Do they need medical equipment for mobility? Have you tried calling and had no luck.
We can help you get some answers. If we can’t, we will direct you to the right person to do so.
Please call us at 316-249-4243 or send us an email via the CONTACT the RPAB form below with the details.
